Description

Hello dear Reader,

I am offering this e-book with a deep heartfelt wish that it will help you in your healing journey and that these simple self-care tips and suggestions will enable you to improve your mental health. Like everything I offer in my work, it is based on my healing journey. I never suggest things I haven’t tested on myself first. I strongly believe that if you want to learn to swim, your instructor needs to be there with you in the water and be a good swimmer themselves, rather than standing next to the pool with a textbook in their hands.

The state of my health was the reason I decided to look after my body and boost my self-care habits. About 15 years ago when I was completing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology my body was exposed to so much stress and pressure, that by the time I finished it, I had been through one depressive episode, had a dis-regulated circadian rhythm* and HPA Axis* stress response, and struggled with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis,* not even knowing about it.

*Circadian Rhythm – This is a 24-hour internal clock in our brain which regulates regular cycles of alertness and sleepiness. This works by responding to light changes in the environment

*HPA Axis – Hypothalamic Pituitary Adrenal Axis releases a coordinated cascade of hormones that govern your stress response.

*Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis – this causes your thyroid to not make enough thyroid hormone.

I am now a practitioner who treats balancing the body as equally important as balancing the mind and emotions in addressing the mental health problems of my clients. The journey I have personally been through is covered in more detail in my other e-book “Books That Changed My Life And Can Change Yours Too”

This, and other e-books, is the closest you can get to working with me for a fraction of the price. It doesn’t replace individual sessions with personalised suggestions, but it can help you start improving your mental health today. The simple tips I recommend here I have tested on myself first and then successfully used with hundreds of clients.

However, everyone’s needs are different so, please take what resonates with you and your story and simply ignore the rest.

If you would like to learn about how to optimise your self-care habits for better mental health, book a free call with me today so that we can talk about your specific needs going forward.

In joy!
