What my clients say about working with me

I have felt the great benefit of doing your 10 day challenge. I am still practicing the breathing techniques even weeks after I finished. Setting my alarm at different times helps me to come back to the present moment. Really beneficial for me. Thank you.”

~ Linda

“Kamila is more than a CBT therapist who helps people overcome a stressful life situation. Kamila is a spiritual life coach whose wisdom will always be part of my soul from the day I met her. She has taught me one of the most important skills in life – how to deal with emotions…regardless of whether these are linked to happiness, fear, anxiety, or excitement, and working together on that I became more self-aware and socially-aware.”

~ Adrian

“I reached out to Kamilla as I was struggling with stress, low mood, and finding my work unfulfilling. She helped me to take some big steps towards a more fulfilling career and a better work-life balance. She helped me to develop a meditation practice. Slowing down and learning to be more present improved the quality of my relationships. Kamilla also helped me to learn how to be self-compassionate, something that didn’t come naturally to me.

She listens with her whole heart and conveys the deepest empathy. I will be eternally grateful to her for helping me navigate through a very difficult time in my life. She was a shining star that helped me to see light in the dark! Her energy for life is infectious.”

~ Caroline

“When I first started to work with Kamila, I was reluctant to open up and sceptical that this was the right thing for me. She was patient and really listened, helping me change my way of life. As a result, I began to make better choices, stopped dwelling on the past, and became calmer, knowing how to put things into perspective. I barely recognise the person I used to be!”

~ Andrew

“Kamila taught me a lot about the body and mind, yoga, gratitude, and self-care. She also introduced me to mindfulness and meditation, both of which I still practise regularly. Being a teacher I know how important mental health is, not just in adults but in children too. Meditation now plays a big part in my classroom, allowing children and myself the time to pause and feel grounded for a moment of calm is now a routine. Before working with Kamila I would never have considered this, never mind joined in with them!

Now it’s our favourite part of the day. Meditation and mindfulness have played a big part in another new chapter of my life, my pregnancy. Without it, I’m not sure I would have felt this positive about having my first baby in a pandemic! I would strongly recommend working with her. “

~ Laura

“I started my sessions with Kamila after a series of panic attacks and period of anxiety. She helped me to overcome my fear of stress and anxiety through a variety of mindfulness techniques. This helped me to relax and soften into my body when experiencing anxiety. We also worked together to understand what triggers my stress response and as a result, I’ve started to eat healthier, exercise more often, and spend more time with the loved ones.

All these changes had a positive impact on my sleep patterns, personal life, job performance and overall life satisfaction. I cannot express in simple words what a life-changing journey I had with Kamila.”

~ Manjeet

“When I finished working with Kamila, I was a totally different person and a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders. It was like I’d been drowning and then I was safe. Without a doubt, the process worked and had done its job. I saw my experience as being totally lost in another world and through my time with Kamila, I came back to the real world and found myself and those who I dearly loved.

I still have my little stone, it sits in the car near my gear stick and I always notice it, and smile and reflect on where I was and how far I have come. It’s a nice reminder that if I ever was in a similar predicament with my mind, I would walk right back to her. Thank you.”

~ Gavin

“I can’t believe how much working with Kamila has helped improve all aspects of my life! From the angry, emotional, stressed and generally unwell person that I once was, right now, I feel I could take on any new challenge in life, be it stressful or not, because I now have the tools to get through pretty much anything. I have a whole new perspective on life and I am more aware of everything I do, noticing things that I didn’t before.

I made the best decision of my life when I decided to give in and try something that was out of my comfort zone. I now regularly attend yoga sessions and practise body scan mediations on a daily basis – be it 3 minutes or 30 minutes. I make time for all of the important things in life including reading, cooking, spending time with friends and family, long walks and sleep! I no longer use my once most popular phrase, “I just don’t have time”. Now I make time, I prioritise my wellbeing over the less important things. I now recommend self-care strategies to friends, family and colleagues on a regular basis and will continue to do so because it has transformed my own life.”

“I first starting working with Kamila back in 2016. I was suffering from anxiety and depression and additionally needed help with structuring my life and self-discipline. Kamila’s combination of CBT and mindfulness skills made her the perfect person to assist me. I found her approach truly compassionate and totally non-judgemental. She understood the issues I was facing and helped me work through them.

Our mindfulness work especially led to significant reductions in anxiety and a more positive outlook on life, where gratitude and happiness now play a more important part. I have since attended a number of Kamila’s courses – the 8-week mindfulness course and Silent Sunday Retreats. They are enormously enjoyable and effective. Kamila leads the courses in a gentle and encouraging way.  I have found that taking time out to understand myself more, to understand what is really important in life, whilst meeting new and interesting people in a safe and nurturing environment has helped me develop as a person. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kamila for her conscientious, professional and compassionate approach and am grateful for how she has helped me.”

“I was a full-time doctor and mother of two young kids. I wasn’t sleeping, I was overwhelmed by stress. I had already lost two colleagues to suicide. I was planning my own. I took an 8-week course with Kamila and it’s not an exaggeration to say that Mindfulness saved my life.”

~ Lisa

“A friend first recommended mindfulness to me when I was having a tough time personally. I took MBCT course with Kamila and at first felt like ‘nothing’ was happening. It took until week 5 or 6 to realise that in ‘allowing nothing’ to happen I had made a space to process what was happening for me, and to look at life from a different perspective. This had a really profound impact on my mood, stress levels at work and learning to enjoy what I ‘did’ have.

I have a very busy and emotive job and the skills I developed are incredibly helpful in my work too. So much so that when I had the opportunity to do another shorter course with Kamila I grabbed it with both hands! I’d recommend it to anyone and everyone. It’s a resource you develop you can draw on at any time in any setting.”

~ Vijay

“I am now much better able to ‘ride’ the ups and downs, catching difficulties earlier and getting less caught up in them. My priorities have changed, and I really appreciate life more, savouring the moments fully rather than always looking forward to when times might be better! I am more accepting both of myself and others. One unexpected outcome is that I do not ‘comfort’ eat or overeat as much as I used to

I feel happier and healthier for it. I am more accepting of things, but also much more certain of what I do want out of life and have made active steps to achieve this”.

~ Penny

“Before I was introduced to the concept of self-compassion and mindfulness practices I used to be extremely unforgiving of myself and had a tendency to get into “not good enough” loops. Now, when I become aware of it, I bring myself back to focusing on “kindness for me, kindness for the world” as I breathe in and out. It has helped me reinforce a more positive self-view.

I also focus better when trying to concentrate, when I started this I was struggling with having any focus at all and this has improved significantly. I can now calm myself if I get in a “can’t do this” loop, or I’m struggling to do a task.”

~ Tanja

“I attended a mindfulness training for GPs. It answered a lot of questions about the practicalities of introducing the topic to patients. Since the course, I have been more “in the moment” with the patients…. as opposed to letting my thoughts wander. I have discussed mindfulness with many anxious people and now realise there is a massive need for it.”

~ Stephen

Being a physician is mainly about the body, science, and how to treat physical illness, but after reading ‘My journey to healers and shamans’ by Clemens Kuby I started to be more interested in the influence of the mind and started to see things from a different angle. So, when I had the opportunity to attend a 4-week mindfulness course with Kamila I did not think twice and enrolled.

I am now much more aware of things in life, and if I fall back into autopilot mode, I look at the little star stickers she gave us to remind me to be mindful. The breathing techniques I learned and use regularly now also improved my sleep and the way I am dealing with stressful situations.”

~ Sarah

“I can openly and honestly say that had I not been on that course with Kamila, I don’t think I would be here, still married and a great dad to my 3 young children. I had so much pain in my head that I dread where I may have been especially at the frequency of wanting to veer myself and my car off the road. I am so so glad I came to see her and I will forever be grateful.”

~ Andrew

“When I met Kamila I was in a dark place and had a series of one to one sessions together. I was struggling with depression, anxiety and a tendency to drink too much. I was finding the world very overwhelming and occasionally pointless. I had suffered these things before in various levels of intensity. I had tried various antidepressants which helped for a while, but made me feel very ‘removed’ from myself. I had also tried CBT (too technical) and psychotherapy (too much based on the past).

I needed a way forward that felt like I was doing something proactive with my mind rather than drugging it or trying to ‘think’ my way out of bad places. I had not encountered mindfulness before. She packed me off with instructions to read a mindfulness book (excellent) and guided meditation to start practicing with (hated it at first…) I persevered and found that once I’d got the general idea, my meditation really helped me. When having scary depressive or anxious thoughts I stop, breathe, observe etc. I can now hold thoughts in the air bizarrely always at the left-hand side – just above my eyebrow! 😉 say ‘hi’ to them and then let them float away. The intensity of my reaction to these thoughts and feelings has reduced massively. I can now see them rather separately and they no longer hurt me as much. So thank you for leading me through a difficult time in my life. I am by no means completely depression-free, but when it waves over me I don’t panic, I get through it quietly and with skill. I don’t drink so much either! I am forever grateful.”

~ Will

”I did a mindfulness course with Kamila promoted through work, aimed at stressed health care professionals and I found it helped my daily life and navigating stress at work. When I then unexpectedly faced the greatest difficulty of my whole life, mindfulness became a tool that helped me through the stress and anxiety of grief. Someone said “don’t wait till you’re drowning to learn to swim”, and I’m grateful every day that I found her course and learned mindfulness and meditation.”

~ Bethany

“My perspective has changed completely. I am now far more conscious of my feelings and thoughts and the way that I react to them. I am now able to take a step back and recognise if my mind is running away with unhelpful thoughts. Of course, there is still stress in my life, however, the smaller day to day pressures are far less significant. There is far less chatter in my head about what I should or shouldn’t be doing, and what others may or may not be thinking about me. The bigger life events are easier to navigate and accept, and my work has changed a lot and became rewarding.”
